Sol de Paris is a contemporary art gallery in the heart of the Marais, presenting carefully selected artists with distinctive and professionally developed contemporary practices. Through curated solo and group exhibitions spanning painting, moving image, installation, photography, and interdisciplinary media, the gallery creates a platform for ambitious artistic practices and international dialogue. Working with artists, curators, and cultural partners in Paris and internationally, Sol de Paris presents bold and distinctive exhibitions for collectors, arts professionals, and wider audiences.

ABOUT US

Sol de Paris was founded in 2023, originally under the name Double H Art Space, and was later officially renamed Sol de Paris.

Established by HanYue and Liwei Deng, the gallery began with a deeply personal aspiration: to create a space in Paris where art, life, inspiration, and emotion could come together freely and naturally.

The name “Sol” evokes the French words sol (ground, earth) and soleil (sun), symbolizing both cultural grounding and light, warmth, and creative energy. Guided by this symbolism, Sol de Paris seeks to create a meeting point where art can take root, evolve, and enter into meaningful dialogue with diverse audiences.

Sol de Paris is dedicated to presenting diverse expressions of contemporary art, including moving image, installation, new media, painting, photography, and interdisciplinary practices. Through curated exhibitions and collaborations, the gallery works closely with artists, curators, cultural organizations, and creative partners to foster an open, innovative, and internationally oriented artistic environment.

SPACE & LOCATION

Sol de Paris is located in the vibrant heart of the Marais district:

17 Rue Chapon, 75003 Paris, France

The gallery spans approximately 175 m², across two levels:

  • Upper Floor — 95 m²: Suitable for exhibitions, solo presentations, artist talks, and cultural or creative collaborations.

  • Lower Floor — 80 m²: Designed as an immersive screening room and flexible space for multimedia installations, moving-image works, and intimate micro-cinema programmes.

With its adaptable architecture, the gallery can accommodate a wide range of curatorial formats, from traditional exhibitions and solo presentations to multimedia, moving-image, and experimental projects.
