ENTRE-DEUX - An Encounter Between Matter, Memory and Light

An Exhibition Featuring Danièle Boisot-Daguier and ML H ZERO

Curated by Puyi Deng

September 21–25, 2026

About the Exhibition

Entre-Deux brings together two artistic practices that explore how we perceive, inhabit, and reconstruct reality. For Danièle Boisot-Daguier, glass becomes a membrane between the visible and the intangible. Through light, colour, texture, and transparency, her work transforms familiar landscapes and fleeting moments into poetic visual experiences. For ML H ZERO, moving images, digital media, and interactive installations reveal the invisible networks connecting individuals, social structures, and natural forces. Her work invites viewers to look beyond appearances and reconsider the complex realities that shape our world.

Moving between transparency and opacity, intimacy and public space, personal memory and collective narratives, Entre-Deux creates a dialogue between material and image. Rather than offering a fixed interpretation, the exhibition opens up multiple perspectives, encouraging visitors to slow down, observe, and discover new relationships between the works.

The space between these artistic worlds is not an absence, but a place of encounter—a dynamic threshold where forms, stories, and perceptions intersect.

The Artists - Danièle Boisot-Daguier

Glass Artist

Born in Suresnes, France, in 1969, Danièle Boisot-Daguier graduated from the École nationale des beaux-arts de Dijon after studying art history and archaeology at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her exploration of glass began during a workshop with master glassmaker Florent Chaboissier in Pantin.

At the heart of her practice is an exploration of transparency and the shifting relationship between light, space, and perception. By combining glass with materials such as wood, metal, earth, painted porcelain, and photography, she creates works that play with contrasts between matte and reflective, transparent and opaque.

Her images preserve traces of quiet, contemplative, and fleeting moments. Through their interaction with glass, familiar landscapes are transformed into visual poems that evoke the fragility of the world around us.

Alongside her artistic practice, Boisot-Daguier has shared her expertise through stained-glass workshops at the Palais de la Culture in Puteaux since 1997 and with the association Expression Vitrail en Rouergue since 2002.

ML H ZERO

Interactive Artist | Visual and Multimedia Arts

ML H ZERO is an interactive artist whose practice spans video installation, visual and digital arts, and experimental narrative forms.

Through her artistic creations and design projects, she investigates the movements of the human psyche, the nature of desire, and the realities concealed beneath the surface of appearances.

Combining moving images, interactive systems, and fragmented narratives, her work creates immersive and sensory experiences that bring usually invisible forces into view. Her installations invite audiences to question their assumptions, explore alternative perspectives, and reconsider their relationships with society and the natural environment.

Selected Works

Romance Floating in Realism

ML H ZERO | Video | 2021 | Dimensions variable

The Kongming lantern carries romantic associations, symbolising the personal gesture of releasing a light into the sky. Yet when it becomes part of a wider social mechanism and connects different groups, its meaning expands, revealing tangible, multiple, and sometimes contradictory dimensions.

Using the lantern as an artistic medium, Romance Floating in Realism explores the complex networks that shape contemporary society. Hidden worlds intersect behind the lantern’s familiar appearance, forming a fragmented reflection of a shared reality.

Accompanied by a website, the video offers an open-ended observation of these interconnected worlds without imposing a single narrative.

Whisper from the Still

ML H ZERO | Conductive Thread, Fabric and Sound | 2023 | 300 × 300 cm

An intimate installation composed of translucent veils bearing fragments of poetry, Whisper from the Still invites visitors into a space of contemplation.

Voices of non-human creatures shift the viewer’s perspective, drawing attention to the fragility of human presence and the fundamental significance of wind.

The wind itself is never directly named. This absence creates room for interpretation. By touching poems embroidered with conductive thread, visitors activate sounds and enter a world seemingly deprived of breath.

Through this subtle interaction between touch, language, and sound, the installation reflects on the vulnerability of natural forces and our place within an environment in constant transformation.

The Curator -Puyi Deng

Puyi Deng is a curator whose practice combines art research, curatorial design, and cultural policy. Her work explores the relationships between artworks, artists, and their social contexts, with an emphasis on creating open and reflective exhibition experiences.

She studied Arts Administration and Cultural Policy at Goldsmiths, University of London, and has participated in art history research projects. At Beijing’s Today Art Museum, she contributed to exhibitions including Environment, Mon Amour and The Surreal Dream World of Erik Johansson, working across research, production, installation, public engagement, and communications.

Deng approaches art as a way of reorganising our understanding of reality. Rather than grouping works solely by style or medium, she develops connections through concepts, historical contexts, and social relationships.

Through juxtaposition, tension, and intertextuality, her curatorial practice transforms exhibitions into spaces where meaning continually emerges between artists, artworks, environments, and audiences.

For Deng, curating is both a research practice and a way of thinking about perception, relationships, and the production of meaning.
